As I was driving west on Route 37 in the Fischer Blvd area last week, I noticed that the former Shell gas station on the corner of 37 and Fischer was continuing to work, with crews on site doing this and that.
This obviously makes us wonder if we’re getting closer to opening a new service station in Ocean County?
This particular location owned by a local businessman has been renovated for a while…it looks like work is going into high gear and we wanted to share an update with you.
We’ve had a lot of feedback from you at home, and we appreciate your intel.Several people have told us they know the owner of the place and he’s doing all the renovations himself, so obviously it’s a lot of money and labor, not to mention that we’ve been through the coronavirus pandemic for over a year, which is Slowed down many construction projects across the state and across the country.
You also told us that this will end up being a multi-service station….Includes gas, oil and lubricants and possibly other automotive services.We hope the families who own the location will have it finished and open as soon as possible, and we want to show you a bunch of work there and how things are going.
The station seems to be getting closer to completion, and while we can’t say for sure how far it is, people are continuing to work, slowly but surely.
